Axxela Limited is a subsidiary of Glover Gas & Power B.V., a portfolio venture co-owned by Helios Investment Partners LLP and Sojitz Corporation. We are pursuing a growth strategy aimed at scaling our investments across the energy sector. Our vision is to power Africa with innovative energy solutions. We have developed over 360km of gas pipeline networks in Nigeria, and we are currently delivering natural gas to about 200 industrial and commercial consumers in Nigerian and West African markets in addition to power development projects.

We are looking to engage an Enterprise Applications Manager to provide support to the Head IT in engaging business units, process/system owners, and end users to define technical, business, and operational requirements.

The Enterprise Applications Manager will be responsible for building, testing, and maintaining infrastructure and tools so that software can be developed and released, system architecture, CI/CD support, project management support for technical projects, taking responsibility for project tasks, and ensuring timely completions.

In addition, he/she shall be responsible for monitoring and responding to open tickets submitted through an incident management system as well as troubleshooting and resolving application or infrastructure issues.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the Head, IT in conceptualizing and developing strategies for designing and implementing applications software that aids business processes.
• Engage business units, process/system owners, and end users to define technical, business, and operational requirements Identify and plan for future needs, and partner with various service providers to obtain best practice software that is aligned with the company’s strategic direction and service excellence culture.
• Manage the establishment and implementation of software development and customization projects, ensuring processes are driven by user needs.
• Provide proper software code management and control to preserve data integrity and security while providing quality assurance in software development.
• Participate in product evaluation including cost estimating and scheduling.
• Analyze and propose new opportunities for enhancing business processes and systems.
• Provide project management support for technical projects, taking responsibility for project tasks and ensuring timely completions.
• Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in IT systems and projects across business entities.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
• Maintaining and updating technical and instruction manuals, policies, and procedures
• Responsible for installing, configuring, and administering application servers as well as developing, troubleshooting, analyzing, and testing software programs.

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum of second-class degree in technology/computing or related discipline from a reputable university
• Up to 10 years of work experience in business process documentation, analysis, and project management support.
• Hands-on experience working in an applications production support/ development environment.
• Possess detailed knowledge of multiple systems and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve application or infrastructure issues.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL and HTML/CSS, and experience/working knowledge of ITIL-compliant incident, problem, and change service management.
• Experience with technologies within the Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem such as PowerAutomate, PowerBI, PowerApps, PowerApps/CRM Portals, and Dynamics (FO & CE).
• Experience developing web applications using at least one popular web framework/Tool (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC, Node.Js, Git, Azure Dev Ops)
• Experience with test-driven development.
• Proficiency in software engineering tools.
