Group Chief Executive Officer

Moshood Olajide

Moshood Olajide is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Axxela Limited, bringing almost two decades of cross-disciplinary experience at the intersection of law, finance, and energy, with an extensive track record in operational excellence, business growth, and strategic transformation across Nigeria and West Africa. He joined Axxela from Ardova Plc, where he served as Group Managing Director and led transformational projects that grew the business into one of the largest privately held integrated downstream oil and gas companies in Nigeria.

A rare combination of lawyer, chartered accountant, and finance executive, Moshood is admitted to both the Nigerian and New York Bars, a Chartered Accountant, and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). His career spans some of the most respected institutions in professional services and energy, including Aluko & Oyebode, where he trained, and PwC, where he served as Partner and General Counsel for the West Africa market area. This multidisciplinary foundation has shaped his approach to deal structuring, risk management, and value creation in complex energy markets.

Moshood holds a law degree from Obafemi Awolowo University and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Columbia Law School in New York, where he was named a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar in recognition of academic distinction. At Axxela, he leads the company’s strategic growth agenda, driving investments in natural gas infrastructure, energy transition initiatives, and industrial energy solutions that support Africa’s economic development and energy security.

Kehinde Alabi

Kehinde has over 20 years experience in the Financial Services and the Oil & Gas sectors – including the Power sector, as a finance professional. Prior to his appointment as COO, Alabi was Head, Sales & Marketing.

He has led the Finance team in four merger and acquisition deals—two in the Oil and Gas industry and two in the Power sector – that successfully closed multi-million dollar divestment transactions. He has also successfully participated in two merger and acquisition deals in the Financial Services sector. Prior to joining (now) Axxela, he worked in various capacities at Standard Trust Bank, United Bank for Africa, and Oando Marketing. He also had a stint in academia as a lecturer.

Kehinde has a BSc. in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University and an MBA from Manchester Business School. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Chief Financial Officer

Yetunde Demuren

Yetunde Demuren is a seasoned finance expert with nearly two decades of experience across consulting, investment, banking, corporate banking, strategic financial management, and business development. Her expertise spans both developed and emerging markets with a strong focus on transaction-oriented roles.

As the Chief Financial Officer at Axxela, she is responsible for leading the company’s financial strategy and capital management, while ensuring robust governance and the effective execution of Axxela’s long-term growth objectives.

Prior to her current role, Yetunde served as Head of Corporate Finance & Treasury Management, where she was responsible for capital structuring for projects, assessing project viability, cashflow planning, and implementing foreign exchange hedging strategies. She played a key role in the successful execution of Axxela’s oversubscribed N11.5 billion and N16.4 billion bond issuance programmes.

Before joining Axxela, she worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the West Africa Deals team with responsibility to deliver on equity and debt capital raise mandates, corporate restructuring, financial modelling, and valuation analysis for publicly traded and privately held companies. She also worked with Bank of Scotland, United Capital PLC, and FCMB Capital Markets where she provided strategic advisory on key projects including the acquisition finance capital raise for OML 42 by Neconde Energy Limited during the Shell divestment programme; the Implementation of the settlement agreement for the National Iron Ore Mining Company, Itakpe; the acquisition of Nokia Nigeria by Microsoft Mobile oy, an SPV created by Microsoft Corporation; acquisition of majority stake in Forte Oil by Prudent Energy; Lease, Redevelop, Operate and Transfer of two (2) hotels owned by the Odu’a Investment Company of Nigeria Limited; Corporate restructuring for Afprint Nigeria PLC among others.

Yetunde holds a B.Sc. in Banking & Finance from the University of Lagos and a Master’s degree in Management (Finance) from the University of Wales, Swansea. She is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School Online and has completed the fundamental level of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK.

Tuoyo Ejueyitchie

Tuoyo has a wealth of international legal experience from his time at Skadden Arps (London, England) and Hogan Lovells (London, England) where he specialised in Tax Law and advised in various capacities including Financial Services, Employment and Business Restructuring.

Tuoyo joined the Oando Group in 2011 where he worked as the Group Finance Legal Manager, responsible for all Financing and Mergers & Acquisition transactions across the Oando Group.

In 2017, he assumed the position of General Counsel and Company Secretary of Axxela with responsibilities for the Legal and Governance departments of the company and its subsidiaries.

Tuoyo graduated with a First Class Honours in Law (LLB) and a Distinction in Law (LLM) from the University of Reading, Berkshire.

EVP, Gas Midstream Infrastructure

Franklin Umole

Franklin has worked and garnered extensive international experience in Business Process Optimisation and Gas Economics in a career spanning several countries in Europe, America, the Far East, Middle East and Africa.

Franklin joined Axxela in 2011 as Programme Executive, responsible for the opportunity maturation of the Central Gas Processing Facility (CPF). In 2013, he assumed the position of Executive Director, Corporate Development with responsibilities for Business Development and Finance across the West African region.

Franklin has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University and an MBA from Webster Vienna Private University.

EVP, Integrated Power

Olufisayo Duduyemi

Olufisayo Duduyemi is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), with about twenty years work experience spanning financial services, FMCG and energy sectors.

He currently oversees Axxela’s power development aspirations, including pursuing extensive growth in power generation and distribution through captive, embedded and other renewable efforts.

Prior to this role, he was the Chief Strategy and Services Officer, overseeing diverse teams in Strategy & Planning, Information Technology, Corporate Communications, Procurement & Administration, and Human Resources Management. His leadership facilitated major organisational transformations and the successful delivery of critical corporate development projects.

Before joining Axxela Limited, he worked as a Business Analyst at Nestle Nigeria Plc. He also served as an Internal Audit Supervisor at IBTC Chartered Bank, (now Stanbic Bank).

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Obafemi Awolowo University. He is also an alumnus of INSEAD, where he obtained a Certificate in Strategy Execution.

Olayide Williams

Olayide is the Head of Business Origination for the Regional Business.

With over 20 years of experience serving multi-national, national, and independent oil companies across the Exploration & Production (E&P) value chain. She served as the former Vice President of New Ventures Division at Amazon Energy.

She joined Axxela in 2020 and has been responsible for identifying and securing viable business opportunities/deals, defining business strategies, developing new product and service offerings, and negotiating and closing business deals.

Olayide holds a B.Sc (Management) from the University of Hull and a DiP (Petroleum Economics & Management) from IFP, France.

Head, Human Capital Management

Ngozika Achebe

Ngozika is responsible for developing and implementing workforce strategies that enable the attainment of corporate objectives.

She has over 15 years progressive experience in Strategic and Operational Human Resource Management. Prior to joining the organization in 2012, she was the HR Business Partner for two subsidiaries in the Oando Group.

Her experience cuts across Organisation Development, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits administration, employee relations and HR policy formulation in the Upstream, Midstream and Downstream industries of the oil and gas sector.

Ngozika has a Bachelor’s degree in English from University of Nigeria, Nsukka and an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Warwick.

General Counsel and Company Secretary

John Chibueze

John Chibueze is an internationally recognised energy and infrastructure, finance & legal counsel. He has over two decades of experience advising on and overseeing investments, transactions, and projects across the energy sector including some of the largest and globally ranked projects and transactions in the African emerging market.

As the General Counsel and Company Secretary at Axxela, he has responsibilities for the Legal and Corporate Governance function, while ensuring effective board administration, statutory compliance, and adherence to governance best practices.

Prior to joining Axxela, John was a Partner in the Energy and Project Finance unit at Dentons-ACAS Law. He also served as a Director in a Fortune 500 energy company and as Deputy General Manager at an international oil and gas company.
